So I have quite the love hate relationship. 2 years I was busy what felt like every day. A 3 and 1 year old getting what time I had left. So I decided I was done with it.
I literally buried with grass. But last night I found myself uncovering.
I went and bought some tomato seeds and started them in a little grow tray. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Years past I had a little 20x35 garden in the back yard. But come canning time and no one in the house wanting to help there, I found myself letting a lot of it go to rot. So I seeded over it called it done.
But I missed it. I miss the fresh food every night and just generally being outside. So I’m gonna go at it again. Wife just told me to much to keep up with lol.
Hope to get the boys to maybe enjoy a bit of it. I know growing up I hated helping dad in the garden, probably because he made it more like work/job. Hopefully I can keep it fun.
My latest wild idea now is I want to get earthworm bins…. They eat all your vegetable waste and turn it into a super compost. Saw a show on pbs about it and really got me reading. Still trying to sell the wife on that lol.
